What is the secret to creativity? Be different! Think differently. See things not for what they were intended but what they might become. When everyone seems to be a vanilla wafer, be a chocolate chip, or better yet, a whoopie pie! I didn’t see a salt shaker, I saw a ready-made base for a tassel. When I see ribbons, I see colorful ribbon roses or beautiful bows setting off a silk sachet bag. Some of the most intriguing things I see at craft fairs or on etsy are the result of repurposing or using everyday items in artistic new ways. There is no end to the creative ideas that you can come up with and that makes you one smart cookie!
